Full-Stack & Mobile Software Developer

Building web, mobile and enterprise software that keeps real-world operations moving. From React and Next.js frontends to .NET APIs, native Android apps on handheld terminals, and the Oracle procedures underneath — I work where modern web meets enterprise operations.

Software that has to work on the warehouse floor

Not every bug shows up in a browser console. Some of them show up as a courier holding a label that won't print.

Furkan Akar
Istanbul, TRopen to work

I'm a full-stack and mobile developer based in Istanbul. Right now I build operational software for a nationwide logistics company: native Android apps running on Zebra handheld terminals, .NET 8 APIs, and Oracle PL/SQL procedures that together handle shipments, invoices and barcode operations every day.

Before that, I operated the security technology of the same logistics network — a fleet of around 1,300 CCTV and access devices. That's where I learned to take production systems seriously: monitoring, incident analysis, and clear communication when something breaks at 3 a.m.

On my own time I ship web products — Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js — and experiment with practical AI: retrieval-augmented chatbots, embeddings, automation. I'm aiming at international, remote-friendly teams where I can keep growing toward cloud, DevOps and system design.

Across the stack, for real

React and Next.js on the web, native Android and React Native on mobile, .NET and Node.js behind them — plus the Oracle procedures they all talk to.

Production first

My daily work runs in live logistics operations. When a barcode fails to print or an invoice flow breaks, I trace it through the app, the API and the database.

Legacy meets modern

Comfortable connecting SOAP services and PL/SQL packages to modern REST APIs and mobile clients — and documenting how it all fits together.

Product mindset

I build and run my own things: an AI-assisted CV builder, a RAG chatbot, automation tools and a live e-commerce store.

Where I've shipped

Enterprise mobile and backend work in logistics, systems operations before that, and my own products throughout.

  1. Current

Operational Software / Mobile Software Specialist

    Nationwide logistics company — Istanbul

Developing and maintaining the mobile and backend software behind daily cargo operations: native Android apps on Zebra handheld terminals, .NET 8 Web APIs, and Oracle PL/SQL procedures powering shipment, invoicing and delivery-point workflows.

    • Build and maintain native Android (Java) applications used in the field on Zebra handheld terminals — barcode scanning, piece validation, and multi-piece shipment flows.
    • Develop .NET 8 Web API services in C# that connect mobile clients to Oracle stored procedures and packages, including order-to-invoice and marketplace shipment flows (Amazon, Trendyol, N11-style platforms).
    • Implement label and barcode printing over TCP sockets (port 9100) to Zebra printers using ZPL and EPL, including reject-label and reprint scenarios.
    • Integrate external SOAP services for order and address lookups, and Bearer-token authentication with deep links between enterprise Android apps.
    • Debug production issues end to end — Android logcat and network logs, API traces and Oracle error analysis — and resolve mismatches between procedures, endpoints and mobile screens.
    • Write test-case matrices and UAT scenarios, document activity–endpoint–procedure mappings, and manage releases through Azure DevOps, APK release builds and .NET publish pipelines.

Same logistics organization — earlier role

Monitored and operated the physical security technology of a large logistics network — a fleet of roughly 1,300 CCTV and security devices — before moving into software development.

    • Tracked device health across ~1,300 cameras and security systems; performed IP changes, camera health checks and cloud video exports.
    • Managed user and device authorization matrices and access permissions across the organization.
    • Analyzed operational incidents and coordinated with technical teams to resolve them, working remote and shift-based on business-critical systems.

Self-directed — web, SaaS and automation

Design, build and run my own products end to end: an AI-assisted CV builder, a document-grounded RAG chatbot, WhatsApp lead automation, and a live OpenCart e-commerce store I operate in production.

    • Ship full-stack products with Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js and MongoDB — from data model to deployment.
    • Build AI features with the OpenAI API, retrieval-augmented generation, Qdrant vector search and local models via Ollama.
    • Operate a live e-commerce site including product, order and payment flows, deployment and maintenance.

Let's talk

I'm open to full-stack, backend and mobile roles with international teams — remote or relocation-supported. If my mix of modern web and enterprise systems experience fits what you're building, I'd like to hear about it.
